We do everything we can to make learning fun – Learning is easier and better in an atmosphere of playful curiosity. Traditional teaching methods often limit themselves to episodic memory – which limits retention and integration.

Our training style involves all the senses, and encourages active participation in discovery; we aim to activate procedural memory. This helps to embed the knowledge and skills ‘in the muscle’, which is much better retained and available to use in your work.

Some Comments About Our Training

“Shehzad’s training for our staff and volunteers has had consistently excellent feedback. His ‘Working with Crack and other Stimulant Users’ and ‘Working Positively with Difficult Clients’ training has played a valuable part in our workforce development programmes.”

Dave Yates, Learning & Development Manager, Lighthouse Project, Merseyside

“Shehzad has provided numerous courses for HLG since 2002, all of which have been very positively evaluated. He is an excellent addition to the HLG bank of trainers.”

Kevin O’Connor, Training Coordinator, Hostels Liaison Group, Nottingham.

“I want to thank you for the excellent course that you ran at HLG, I really enjoyed the range of exercises from the eye accessing through to Coaching and the circle of excellence. I personally felt that your teaching style, pace etc was spot on.”

Glen (Nottingham)

“I attended the weekend course on Improving Confidence… and I found it to be excellent! The two days were really therapeutic and the techniques taught really helped me. The tuition is outstanding, and I am very happy to really recommend any similar courses”

Andrew (Nottingham)
